In a lot of gyms today finding a weightlifting solution is one of the biggest challenges for gym owners especially when it comes to getting a location that reduces noise and vibration during workouts. It is in the bid to solve this problem that we have come out with an innovative but simple noise reduction weight lifting solution that will also protect your gym floors.
The KingsBox SVR platform is structured to ensure that gyms can cater to weight lifters and also make the gym space conducive for others as it is designed to help gym owners create an optimal gym space where they don’t have to worry about noise and vibration when lifting weights. If you have been to the gym before we are sure you can relate to how disturbing it can be to have weights being slammed on the floor and that’s why our KingsBox SVR Platform weight lifting solution is so important.
In this blog, we will take you through the vision into creating this incredible gym solution and how it helps in reducing noise and vibration in the gym.

Most weightlifting platforms, especially cheaper ones, use only a single layer of rubber tiles. In contrast, our SVR platforms weight lifting platform features multiple layers of cushioning materials which includes two layers for the SVR Platform and three layers for the SVR Elite Platform.
These layers not only protect gym floors but also significantly reduce noise and vibrations so others in the gym can workout with no distractions and the weightlifters do not have to be self conscious.
Our research and development team tested over 80 different combinations of materials to find the perfect mix. Here’s how we performed the whole testing phase:
We reduced the selection from 80 to 45 combinations, focusing on those that provided the best barbell bounce without the barbell sinking too much into the surface. This process was critical in ensuring the platform would meet the rigorous demands of weightlifting, powerlifting, and Olympic lifting.
At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, we analyzed the Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) graphs for each combination. This helped us identify which materials absorbed vibrations best. The precision required in this phase ensured that our weightlifting platforms would provide the optimal balance between cushioning and firmness, essential for powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting.
After selecting the best combination, we conducted durability tests both in the lab and with a top European cross-training athlete. These tests simulated the high-impact conditions typical in weightlifting and powerlifting. At the end, combination number 39 was the best, and it’s now used in our SVR Elite Platform. This ensures that our platforms can withstand the heavy loads and repeated use common in weightlifting and powerlifting environments.
By focusing on these aspects, we ensure that our SVR platforms provide the best support and durability for weightlifting, powerlifting, and Olympic lifting, making them the ideal choice for any serious gym owner or athlete.

There are several reasons why a gym should have a weightlifting platform, including:
SVR Platforms are ideal for commercial gyms, especially those in multipurpose buildings with neighboring offices or stores. These platforms minimize noise and vibration, preventing complaints from neighbors and ensuring a better workout environment.
While most platforms (especially cheaper ones) use only a layer of rubber tiles, our SVR platforms have 2 layers (SVR Platform) or 3 layers (SVR Elite Platform) of different cushioning materials. Extensive testing has proven that these new KingsBox platforms not only provide protection to the gym floor but also drastically reduce noise and, most importantly, reduce the vibrations that could spread throughout the building.
Investing in a high-quality weightlifting platform like the KingsBox SVR or SVR Elite can transform your gym environment. By reducing noise and vibrations, protecting your equipment and flooring, and ensuring a safe and defined lifting area, these platforms offer unmatched benefits. Whether you’re outfitting a commercial gym in a shared building or upgrading your home gym, the KingsBox SVR platforms are the ultimate solution for serious lifters.
